Confinement
I have been relegated to my creative space which is not all bad news. It’s really kind of nice because I am forced to use the time wisely. Finishes are always rewarding and I was able to finish my flag quilt.
In the end I chose an all over star and spiral design which I think turned out well.
I then finished it off with a navy blue and white striped binding.
The reason for my confinement is my shadow and this week’s charge……..
which wouldn’t be so bad except for this……..
--noise and terrible, obviously very mean workmen!!!!!!! The sewing studio is nice and quiet as well as out of view of the mean men. Oh, the joys of construction!
On the good side…we celebrated a second birthday this week and our oldest granddaughter baked the cutest cupcakes for the party.
Back to confinement.

I agree, the quiet creative space is the place to be during construction. I love your flag quilt. Those cupcakes are so cute. I'll have to show them to my 19 year old granddaughter who loves to bake.
ReplyDeleteYour flag quilt is stunning! Well done!
ReplyDeleteI adore your flag quilt. The subtle design is very beutiiful and timeless. Those are uber cute cupcakes. Oh the JOY of construction...I am just now gettting my rooms back in order. High on Life July...

ReplyDeleteConfinement in a creative space with a best friend sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteYes! Your "confinement" sounds wonderful and I'm so happy that you are "protecting" your sweet charge from those mean men! Your flag quilt is awesome and I've been meaning to ask if you have a long arm....the quilting patterns you use are so perfect! Glad your granddaughter is enjoying her baking!
ReplyDeleteYour flag quilt is really nice and quilting with all over stars is perfect! I love the little pig cupcakes. Your granddaughter is very talented, I bet they were delicious as well.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flag quilt. Your confinement doesn't seem to be bothering you too much. Those mean workmen are aiding your creativity and your shadow looks quite calm and happy.
ReplyDeleteYour flag quilt is stunning! Did you do the machine quilting? Good dog mommy, keeping puppy safe from the workman. LarryPug would be right outside the door barking at them. He is afraid of nothing. Love the piggy cupcakes. I think with a few alterations, I could turn them into pug cupcakes!
ReplyDeleteI just LOVE that flag quilt! Perfect quilting design for that quilt. And if I were to be confined, I would think that the sewing room would be the perfect place! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat flag quilt is simply gorgeous! I can see it hanging on 4th July each year. Isn't nice that the older grandchildren are looking after the younger ones - Hugs Nat
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful finish! Looks great.
ReplyDeleteIt is just beautiful! I love anything with Red, White, and Blue. Construction is never any fun until it is all complete.

At least you're confined to someplace you love! Great quilt and perfect overall star pattern. Adorable cupcakes!!! Some sweet doggie looks like it needs extra loving. I'm sure there's no shortage of that at your house.
