Brought to You by Fall

There have been lots of fall happenings this month, including my sewing.

I’m always in need of kitchen towels that do not “disappear”, if you know what I mean.  I finally got around to making a couple of fall inspired ones to hang.  This was an easy tutorial on YouTube, presented  by Notches Sewing.

A few Halloween trick or treat bags were needed too.  The grandchildren are now asking me if I would make their children bags like I made them when they were young.  It’s fun to see them come back.

My monthly confetti stars this month were done in brown, shades from caramel to chocolate.  The collection is growing nicely.

I was able to finish up one UFO this month too.  This one wasn’t too old.  I started it last fall, but time got away from me.  I loved this pattern, Pumpkins by Laundry Basket Quilts and the fabrics which are from Moda called Woodland and Wildflowers.  I ended up adding one more row because I couldn’t decide which fabrics from the layer cake to leave out.   I will be linking up the stars and the UFO with Freemotion by the River (www.conniekresin.com)

It’s hard to believe that we will be celebrating Thanksgiving in another month.  I’m looking forward to the family gathering to celebrate.  Grandchildren will be home from colleges and/or their out of state locations.  It’s just a grand time of the year.
