I did participate in Gosia's SEW ALL AROUND six part circular sewing QAL. This last week was application of the binding to our mini quilt. I really like the way this piece finished.
As well, I did some embroidery for some of the grandchildren so they always know which washcloth and towel belongs to them.
April has seen a lot of birthdays so I've had fun with fabric postcards. I've forgotten to take pictures of most of the ones I have sent, but here are a couple of them.
Spring continues to produce some gorgeous blooms. It's always a delight to see them reappear each year.
Just one last photo of the grandchildren at Easter. Someone even created photos of the two who were missing due to spring break at college not tying in with our Easter celebration. Boo!
Wow! Are there 28 grand children? That's awesome! How many children do you have, Mary? Family time is the best. Your flower photos are gorgeous. Your yard and garden must be gorgeous. Your fabric postcards are great. I've not tried to make those....yet!
ReplyDeleteLove your mini quilt. The flowers are gorgeous ours are just starting to bloom. Great picture of all the grands, even the ones that are missing! Your postcards are fun.
ReplyDeleteWOW... your orchids are gorgeous! I love that the grandchildren that were missing got added to the photo. That is a lot of grandchild to sew for!!
ReplyDeleteYour mini is wonderful! I love the colors and the quilting :-)
ReplyDeleteIt was certainly a happy Easter at your house. Such a sweet picture of your grandchildren. You are a blessed woman!
Your curve piecing looks like the circles were drawn with a compass. I really really love the circular quilting. It’s perfect! The towel colour is so pretty. The kids look very happy to be there with each other. The added photos of the missing kids made me laugh. I love seeing your fabric postcards. So creative! You have such a green thumb! Gorgeous flowers. Love that yellow and orange orchid. Such intricate pattern on that one.

Mary your little quilt is really lovely, and I love the flowers, but the most fantastic photo is your beautiful grandchildren. What a blessing they must be to you. I had my two for tea tonight, and a game of monopoly with their mum and aunt. It was hilarious. I can only imagine what fun we would have if they were multiplied 14 times. xxx
ReplyDeleteYour orchids are gorgeous! I love your little circular finish. Lots of beautiful grandchildren, birthday parties must be nearly a weekly event. They keep us young!
ReplyDeleteYou certainly have a lot to be proud of, what a fantastic group of grandchildren. Lucky you!! Love the flowers.

Loved loved loved that last photo of all the grandkids--even the "missing" ones! Such a treasure! I had fun reading about your flowers (all beautiful--of course) the clever postcards and embroidered towels and love that circular quilt of yours at the top!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to a wonderful quilter and friend!
I love how the drunkard's path blocks can be set up in so many ways! That color combination is so nice too. My purple irises all bloomed a couple of weeks ago and I noticed a pink iris named "Beverly Sills" that I planted last fall that just bloomed this week....exquisite! I love Spring!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is gorgeous! Love the colours! You have some great projects on the go and an amazing photo of your beautiful grandchildren...what a legacy!
