Speaking of word quilts....have you seen the QAL that is soon going to start at Elm Street Quilts? I may have to jump in on this one.
While we were in Phoenix I continued sewing on my nativity cross stitch project. I managed to stitch a sheep and start on my last shepherd as well as do some outline stitching.
It doesn't look like much for a couple of days of stitching, but when I compare it to last week I feel better. See the headless shepherd on the left side?
So.....it is Memorial Day weekend. How did we get here already? It's the kickoff to summer here in the northern hemisphere. This weekend is also our 47th wedding anniversary. How the years have flown! I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

ReplyDeleteI love the paper pieced sewing notions blocks. Your cross stitch is beautiful, so much work involved. I just saw the quilt along at Elm Street Quilts and I think this is one I will have to join in. I am trying to get projects finished but this looks like a fun project.

ReplyDeleteLOVE all the notions blocks, so cute! The pin cushion one is so you as I know you like pin cushions! Will you make that up into a wall-hanging for your sewing studio? Your Nativity looks great, wouldn't you like to know the number of hours you have put into it?! It is just beautiful! Another full week and no sewing for me......I seem to go hot or cold but that's just how my schedule is around here. :o)
