Grief

Somehow the post that I had written seems so insignificant today.  My heart is breaking with sadness.  I just read that a blogger, Diane, whom I have followed for several years lost her husband yesterday.

As well, my 44 year old cousin died suddenly yesterday.  My poor aunt and uncle lost another son a couple of years ago to cancer.  The pain they must be feeling is unimaginable to me.

A post on quilting projects, summer and happiness just doesn't seem to work today.  Please keep these people in your thoughts and prayers.

    I am so sorry to hear your sad news. I know how grief changes everything in a heartbeat.When the time is right, tell your friend abot the blog "A Widow's Voice". There she will find a huge amount of support from women who really understand.

    I'm very sorry to hear this news. I have had a lot of upsetting news come to my attention today. Of course talk of things like quilting and other fun activities seem very out-of-place at such times.

    I don't know Diane, but I can imagine how you feel if you've blogged with her for a long time. It must have been a shock, since her last post was about happily going on vacation. How sad!!

    And such a young cousin! I am so sorry.

    you bet I will...I just lost a cousin today as well....he was more like an uncle, he is my mother's age...my cousin was born just a few years behind my mother....really sad....

    My thoughts are with you. Sometimes it is difficult to just breathe at times like these. No one's grief is ever the same and it is hard to help when you don't know what to do. I hope that you will find your way and to also find some peace in the coming days.
