Be sure to check out the challenge.
The pattern is a Fig Tree, Mini Pops. It was the selected pattern for Sherri and Michele's Minis and More journey a few months ago. I loved the pattern, but never found the time to make it. This month's project is a free choice mini and I went back to the Mini Pops. I love the way it turned out and it makes such a great summer table runner.
Have you ever wondered how much change you collect over a year? I have enjoyed reading how much people have managed to gather over the last few years and decided to play along this year. Perhaps I will have a fun shopping spree at my favorite LQS next July. One year.....I wonder how much I will have collected from my ever heavy bag, laundry, etc. You can join in at Val's Quilting Studio.

Wow !!! I am not good in this kind of quilting and I am delighted yours. It is wonderful, Mary.
ReplyDeleteWish you good luck in the contest :)
I feel cooler just looking at that runner. Cute, cute, cute!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute runner! And so summery. It will be interesting to see how much change you accumulate in a year. My parents used to change their change and that was the vacation fund.
ReplyDeleteSooooooo cute! Love your colours
ReplyDeleteIce cream bars, what a perfectly cool idea! I love your table runner! The grandkids would love having their own placemats of this pattern.
ReplyDeleteSweet pops! Look like sherbet bars! Yes indeed it is very hot and humid here in our part of southern Virginia!!
ReplyDeleteI just love your mini pops quilt, it's so fun, and the colors are really yummy! What a great idea...it has been so here in So Cal, and with the ash from the Sand fire it's been a good week to stay inside and sew.
ReplyDeleteStay cool and safe, Mary
Hugs

Love your cool table runner
ReplyDeleteVery "cool" ice cream bars table runner. I feel cooler just looking at your creation. Summer Sunshine Bliss...
ReplyDeleteMary, your popsicle table runner is the cutest thing ever! It would make any get together feel like a celebration!
ReplyDeleteMy hubby is the change collector in our house and he would feel very deprived if I started too. LOL
Mary, That table runner is just lovely. I would love to be able to fmq like that, but haven't taken the time to practice. That is one of my resolutions. Maybe I will get my act together soon. We do collect the pocket change in our house. There are a few tin boxes around with varying amounts in them. My box is a pottery treat box with a slot but no opening to empty it. I started in Januar0

ReplyDeleteAmber (cat) decided to jump on the keyboard and post my comment while purring in my face. I think she wants out. Better go and obey the lady of the house.
ReplyDeleteHow cool is this? pretty cool if I say so myself...well done Mary
ReplyDeleteCute table runner.
ReplyDeleteCute! Now I want some type of frozen dessert.
ReplyDeleteReally, really nice Mary!
ReplyDeleteLove your mini pops! I feel cool and refreshed just looking at them.
ReplyDeleteIt's delightful! And I agree with others that the quilting is perfect. Good luck in the challenge! With loonies and toniest, collecting change in Canada could be a big payoff at the end of a year!
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable.

I keep popsicles in my freezer for my mailman and paper boy. Your popsicle runner is sweet!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I am totally in love with that runner of popsicles! I have one more swap to do this year and it's a summery table runner swap with a fellow quilter. Of course, I will be emulating you with that wonderful creation. Thank you for saving my brain for having to think up the project. It's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI went over to Gosia's blog and had a look around. So fun to get the heads' up from you!
The perfect quilt for a cool off Mary. What a fun display it makes.
