Catching Up on Some Fun Sewing

Being away from the sewing machine for several weeks meant that I had to make up for lost time.  ;-)

One of our granddaughters has a birthday tomorrow and her request was for doll clothes for her 18" doll.  Of course, I LOVE sewing doll clothes.  I used to enjoy sewing for my own dolls and I was taken back to those olden days while I stitched these outfits.

With Halloween just around the corner, I thought this was necessary.

I had such fun with this little day outing dress with the waist bag.

Of course every doll needs some soft lounging p.j.s and a matching robe.

I also caught up and mailed off my bee blocks for October.  First off was for our MCM Bee.

Finally for our Spelling Bee.

Bring on November!!!

Oh my. Doll clothes seem like a challenge to me at this point. Although, I remember sewing Barbie Doll clothes for the girls. Your clothes look perfect! They will be treasured!

What fun sewing! I too recall making doll clothes for my little dolls, and then for my daughter's first American Girls Doll, over 25 years ago! They are such fun to make.

Such cute little outfits--I used to love sewing for dolls, but haven't been asked to do that with the grandchildren. How fun for you! I'm all caught up with bee blocks for October, too, and will work on November's in a couple of weeks--then we are done with the Spelling Bee, and on to the next.

Mary, you make the most beautiful doll clothes. I want every one for me in my size too...lol! There is not much that says "I love you granddaughter" than a whole wardrobe for her little one. It warms my heart to see you keeping up the good name of Grandma. Hugs to you my friend.
