En Provence

My En Provence quilt is now completely pieced.  It has been so much fun cyber stitching along with my little sister (IG alaskanquilter) who lives in Alaska.  She finished hers a day ahead of me!  I always enjoy Bonnie Hunter's Mystery QALs and this one is one of my favorites - even though I am not a purple person.  My biggest problem was finding floor space large enough to photograph it.   The sun shining in the room appears to have taken the bottom corner off, but it is really all there.   I am so pleased with the way it all came together.


We've had storm after storm roll through our area.  It has been really wonderful after so many years without moisture.  The plants and trees are loving it - I am sure!  As well, we have had so many beautiful rainbows.  This one was so pretty, but faded by the time I could grab the camera for a picture. 


Guess it was a bit late to find the pot of gold too.

    Your En Provence is beautiful! Congrats! on your finish. It's nice that you have your sister to quilt with, cyber style. How fun! I'm hoping to get my EnProvence to the quilter this week. Enjoy the moisture.,

    En Provence is gorgeous! The next step, layering and pinning, is always so much fun as you see the design take on that added dimension. It is good to hear that much of California is no longer in severe drought status and that the reservoirs are filling up once again.

    Nice shot of the rainbow. Your En Provence quilt is quite lovely - it was a lot of piecing. It's nice for you folks to finally have some decent moisture.

    Your quilt is a beauty-even with the purple, lol! and that rainbow is too...I don't think I've ever managed to capture one on camera.

    I'm impressed but not surprised you stayed on track with making this quilt. It's spectacular. :o) I know how much California is appreciate the rain after years of drought. It's a shame it had to come all at one and cause such devastation on some areas. Mother Nature isn't often kind. Enjoy your rain and rainbows.

    I think your En Provence is the pot of gold. It is just gorgeous.

    The rainbow must have been super vibrant as it was still bright when you took the photo.

    Your quilt turned out beautiful! I didn't make it because of the purple (not a fan either) but I've seen a few in different color groups that are just as nice.

    Mary, this quilt is stunning! I can see some yellow coming through the purple! I'm not a purple person either, but it's nice to use colors you are not used to every now and then. Are those eucalyptus trees?

    Rain is always so refreshing after a long dry spell! It has been gray and rainy in our part of the world for weeks now - one of the reasons I dread winter so much. Just can't live with so much gray and so little sunshine!!!

    That looks so amazing, Mary! I know you are not a purple person, but you used those purple prints beautifully. Cyber stitching with your little sister sounds like a lot of fun. We have been having a lot of rain here too. Feels great!! Such a pretty rainbow.
