These little bags are quite addicting to make. You start off with the little 3" handles, which I purchased from Kelly at IHAN, and a pattern which can be purchased here. From there the choices are nearly endless.
My first attempt was to use some Kaffe Fassett fabrics. After learning the ropes of making the first one, I had to try a few more just for fun.
This one is a little brighter and would make a great teacher's gift.
Then I added some machine embroidery.
Needless to say, I am not the only one hooked on these. Please check out these other blogs for today's creations.

ReplyDeleteWe go to my mom's for Thanksgiving. She usually has between 40-50, but we are light this year with only 38 so far!
I love your fabric choices! I'm not in the Hop but I bought the pattern and made a couple, too -- I love this project! For the first time ever, I will be going to someone else's house, in another state, for Thanksgiving. I'm not sure how many people there will be, more than I'm comfortable with, I suspect, lol. Then, the Sunday after Thanksgiving, I'll have my little family over for a faux Thanksgiving meal, and there will be 5 of us.

Regarding Thanksgiving, my husband and I will probably be alone on Thursday, but on Saturday my family celebrates ou Thanksgiving and Christmas and there wil be about 110 people there. There are some people who will be recieving some cute coin purses that Saturday! :-)

I am at our daughter, son in law, and grandbaby's home visiting, but wanted to stop by and check out the amazing coin purses!

I forgot to mention...when it is just our immediate family with our grown kids and their spouses, we have 9 of us for Thanksgiving...and actually this year, we were able to have our Thanksgiving dinner this past Saturday, since we all won't be able to get together on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
