I have a
Here are most of mine in one grouping.
Of course, they all have a certain place where they belong in real life. Over the years I have received pincushions from swaps...............
as gifts............
Made by my DIL with the grandchildren's thumbprints |
Made by a granddaughter when she was young. It's filled with little bits of fabric and is a great pincushion. |
Then there are two "oldies" in the collection. My dad brought me the green one when he was traveling and the old red tomato is one that I remember from when I first started sewing - over 60 years ago. These are treasured and not used.
So........do you have a special pincushion to share?
I love your pin cushions Mary! Some of them look good enough to eat! I love the treasured ones from your Dad and grandchildren❤️. Thanks again for spreading the word😊
ReplyDeleteWhat a great collection you have. Hope they don't go hiding from again...LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!!!
I also collect pin cushions. One of the valley quilt guild's had an all boutique day for a fund raiser. Their best sellers were Aprons and Pin Cushions. Love your collection!

What a wonderful collection of pin cushions Mary!! How fun to see them!
ReplyDeleteYou have so many pretty pincushions. I don't have any. I have one magnetic pin-holder and all the rest of my pins are in little boxes. I think I may have to make myself one in the future.
ReplyDeleteThey are so so cute Mary. So many varieties of them! I used to be crazy with pin cushions, but when I moved into the treehouse I had to find them new homes :( Thanks for your inspiration - Hugs Nat
ReplyDeleteWoW! you really do have some wonderful pincushions. In a previous life I collected lots of fun pincushions but they have all gone to other homes. I do have more pincushions now but do not collect them. Creative Pincushion Bliss...
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing collection of pin cushions. I love them all, but the turtle definitely caught my attention. I don't think I've ever seen so many beautiful pin collections. You may have just inspired me to start collecting them too. Gorgeous.

ReplyDeleteI love the birds and their house :-)
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, even though I am not a pin cushion user at all, I have several pin cushions. I've noticed a lot of people are in the sewing world like pincushions, with swaps and the current pincushion thing going on for a new fabric release. I think that donut cushion is one of the really charming ones in your collection!
ReplyDeleteYour pincushions are sooooo cute! What an amazing collection.
