My real flowers are doing pretty well too. This is an area of the patio where the plumerias are blooming. The smell is just heavenly.
Thanks to our generous neighbors who were gone for the weekend, we had some extra fun in store for the children. It was quite refreshing.
"jump, jump...we'll catch you" |
The latest two blocks of my Civil War quilt along are finished........

I can't believe it is already August. School will soon be starting and it will be Christmas again before we know it. The years are going much too quickly.

Love your Yo-yos, so cute! Looks like you are having fun with the grandkids!
ReplyDeleteI am SO far behind! I'm anxious to get caught up.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you can sew as you ride in the car - I would be so nauseated! I just recently have been able to read a bit as I ride.
We've had a great couple of weeks, but I have so much to do, and am tired - I need a vacation to catch up from the vacations!
Your Yo-Yo's are adorable. I've been meaning to try doing YoYo's someday, but this week I decided to try my hand at Hexie's for this flower garden project. Love the hexies, so i'm sure I'd love YoYo's too.
ReplyDeleteVery very cute project your doing, looking foward to seeing more of it. : )
That pool is absolutely gorgeous and your sweet family is precious. I am thinking of doing some hexies when I go to Sparta. I love your yo yo's and your block. Your plants are beautiful. I did a post tonight on the outside of our home.
ReplyDeleteoh I so wish I was in that pool right now!!! Love the blocks..especially the birdie stitches block...so cute!!
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice of your neighbor to offer their pool. I am sure your grandkids loved it. Your civil war blocks are very pretty.
ReplyDeleteHow fun!!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are lovely!
Did you say Christmas??? I'm just going to have to wash out your mouth with soap!! hehe I know what you mean, though, it's hard to believe we're in August already. Schools don't reopen until the first week of September over here so the children have another month to enjoy:-)
ReplyDeleteThe grands certainly did look like they were enjoying using that pool! I would have jumped right in with them:-) Our neighbours on the left side of us have an above ground pool but the pump broke down and they can't afford to have it fixed so they haven't been able to use the pool. Figures it's the hottest summer we've had in years! We finally got a bit of rain the other day, the first in over a month and a half. Not enough, though, everything is still so dry.
Your yo-yo flowers are so delightful and your real flowers are stunning. A lot of my flowers are now done and all that's left in bloom are some late blooming lilies, hydrangea, clematis and sunflowers. Oh and in my faerie garden there are roses, begonias and impatiens blooming.
I've just come in from hanging laundry on the clothesline and I'm in a sweat! lol A little too hot for me out there, much prefer being inside with the air conditioner!! Have a wonderful weekend my friend. xoxox
Nice all the grandchildren in the pool
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for your nice letters
big hugs Dorine
