I have been trying to catch up on my Schnibble project - one a month for a year. This is the last month and I decided to use some Halloween fabrics to make the Schnibble for August. I do think that I spent more time on this top that I have on any of the others this year, but I love the way it turned out.
As well, there were two quilts that I had to play catch up on because we were too busy or out of town when they were introduced. So here is my Cindy Lou Who
My Barn block was also on my list this month and I finished it too. This was my favorite quilt pattern yet (I think). This has been such a fun project and I am looking forward to see them all together.
We did enjoy a few days of babysitting for a couple of the grandchildren while their parents enjoyed some time away for their anniversary.
A little sleepy time with Grandpa.
Tractor boy with his favorite cousin! I think the feeling is mutual.
Great quilts and I love the barn block, too. The kids...as always...are very cute!
ReplyDeleteI am not sure which of the quilts I like the best. Perhaps the Halloween quilt, I am a nut for anything Halloween.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a chance for some grandbaby love!
So I was going to ask you about the purpose of the schnibbles - are they going in a quilt, or are they stand-alone? And what will happen to the barn one? I should know these things, but I don't!
ReplyDeleteWow! All the Schnibbles are wonderful! So productive!
ReplyDeleteSo cute in the Halloween fabrics!
ReplyDeleteLove the quilts! I like them all...
ReplyDeleteWe will get to see our youngest grandchild in a couple of weeks! I hope they will go on a date so we can have him to ourselves!

ReplyDeleteIt was fun scrolling through all your recent Schnibble photos! I never made my August one. I want to make that one lap size and am waiting on an order to match my layer cakes to start that one. Oh and your last Schnibble called Winter White..I quilted several of those and do you know mine still need pieced?! Hee...it is a someday project. I enjoyed and glad you share!!

ReplyDeleteHelloooooooooo! Don't faint, it's finally me! lol I've just come back from bringing mom out shopping and lunch and now I want to spend the rest of the day visiting some of my favourite blogging buddies:-) I'm just so glad that the busy summer has pretty much come to an end, it was brutal not having much time for the computer every day.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving all of your schnibbles and I know I've said it before but you do such beautiful work. The Christmas stocking you showed in your previous post is just darling.
It must have been so much fun babysitting those two grandchildren, both are adorable. The one of grandpa and the baby is too precious for words:-)
I loved seeing the pictures from your fishing trip and imagine seeing that bear on the shore. As you said, good thing you were on the boat at the time! lol We had a huge bear in our yard again the other day, he wrecked a couple of of bird feeders, darn him!! They are getting so bold and now come into neighbourhoods during the day. Not even safe to sleep in a tent in the backyard like our boys used to do, anymore!!!
It's another hot and humid day today and I was just soaked when I got home. So lovely to now sit in an air conditioned room and visit:-) xoxo
The quilts are great!
ReplyDeleteHow clever. I do not sew but these are great and a lovely idea.
ReplyDeleteNew baby is sweet with Grandpa.
Paycocks is now owned by the National Trust and they have a caretaker who lives there in part of the house.
