I agree that more specific quilting is needed, and I see that there is a suggestion or two in your comments section.

I love seeing photos of all your grands together--makes me smile.

ElizabethOPQuilthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08622702911207665333noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3791304731827660383.post-76491282098488226472015-06-30T18:41:01.196-07:002015-06-30T18:41:01.196-07:00I didn't know you have a cockatiel! Let me guess...you served fresh watermelon? That always finds it's way to my floors no matter what! Your quilts are so fresh, Mary! I would definitely not do an overall pattern as I'm sure your houses will disappear. I might do something different on each roof - chevrons, circles, cross hatches, etc, to give them some interest.
Cheers!Candacehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15520872958009985226noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3791304731827660383.post-34280296894994554372015-06-23T14:36:47.214-07:002015-06-23T14:36:47.214-07:00I love your quilts...so very pretty...but so is yo...I love your quilts...so very pretty...but so is your family too.Lanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03015572831686023979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3791304731827660383.post-56128907026548366982015-06-23T11:53:33.666-07:002015-06-23T11:53:33.666-07:00Great quilts, Mary !!! Maybe straight line quilting on your houses? I've never been a fan of it in the past, but recently I've seen some great quilts with straight line quilting and I've loved them. I'm surprised at how much the lines add to the quilt without being too much. I tried it recently and I do have to say I'm shocked at how difficult it is to quilt a straight line ;-) Who knew?Michelehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17620337187303791229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3791304731827660383.post-4465458580293807052015-06-23T03:54:35.008-07:002015-06-23T03:54:35.008-07:00Wonderful that you had a great Fathers' Day......Wonderful that you had a great Fathers' Day... love the photo of the kiddies with the Cockatiel! I'm not sure how much quilting you're wanting to do, but it would be fun to do some of the roofs in cross hatch and maybe some in scallops to look like Spanish tile. Maybe stitch in the ditch around the defining lines of each house.
