It throws my biological clock off for weeks, and it's hard to cope. I know there is good to it, but haven't in all these years figured out how to cope with it. Actually, now that I'm retired it's a little bit better.

We have somethings in common - 50 years of marriage this November. Three adult children - 7 grandkids. Longer Sunlight each day is my favorite. Fall is definitely in the air. Your quilts are always so beautiful with the fabrics and colors you put together. We had lots of Praying Mantis’ on our roses each summer in Nor Cal. My Granddaughter (Amber) grows Plumerias as did my Grandma and they are so beautiful and fragrant. Amber just went to a Plumeria Festival in San Diego and obtained her much sought after J105, Purple Jack and a couple others. Your temperature quilt is all so full of bright tones--did you skew the color scheme that way, or has it really been that hot this year?
Your pickles look great, as does that dinner/Hollywood Bowl experience. What a lovely way to spend a summer night! I'd be happy to get rid of Daylight Savings Time, as I'm a morning person, but I definitely don't want to go the other way: All the Time Daylight Savings Time. I look forward to "real sun time" greedily every fall, and mourn when I have to give it up in Spring. Thanks for showing us your garden, both in flowers and in canning. One of my favourite colour combinations. Your star blocks are really pretty and the temperature quilt is coming along so nicely. I am glad of the cooler temperatures here.
