Busy Days

It's been a busy week and I think I am still playing a bit of catch-up since being away.  I managed to catch up on the Starburst Quilt Along.  I was way behind on that, but selected my fat quarters and got the first few steps done.  My fabric diet has gone really well this month as I continue to pull from the stash.  This week we were to do our flying geese.  Being that far along, I stitched out my first star.  These are big stars at 24" so they will make a nice finish.

We've also celebrated a couple of birthdays.....

Did you notice the Christmas bag???  Oh well...it is still January...right?

Other than a few days of watching little ones, dermatology appointments, haircut, laundry, cleaning and an author's luncheon, it has been a normal running week.

Did you notice the full moon this week?  I tried to capture it as it was popping up between the trees last night.  It, along with the sunrises and sunsets have been stunning this week.

I have been following the full moon... literally! In the evening it comes up and I see it outside my sewing room window. In the morning it is shining in my bedroom!
I just saw that quilt along. It looks like fun:)

Love the plaid in your starburst - yes, once all those units are done, the block goes together very fast.

I love that picture of the moon rising. I've tried to take a picture of the moon at night ... just can't get a good shot ... must need a better photographer and a better camera. ;-)

Is there a link to the Starburst Quiltalong that I'm overlooking, missed? After packing all my fabric I'm on a fabric diet! Once settled into the next place I want to use up some I've hauled around for more than a few moves. Man, I just feel like sitting a sewing......yes, pouting some but so happy the home sold. Talk soon

Yes, it's always hard to catch up with all you need to do after returning from a trip. That Starburst almost looks like a Swoon block. It's going to be a beautiful quilt.

I like the way you caught the moon through a gap in the trees. Wonder if you have a month without a Grands birthday?

What a beautiful block! I think the Christmas Bag is perfectly unnoticed, or atleast I would not have if you hadn't mentioned it. Did he?
